Rugby World Cup Tickets

France Rugby World Cup 2007 ran from September 7 to October 20. Most matches were held in France, although some of the pool matches took place in Scotland and Wales.

Rugby World Cup 2007 Ticket

Tickets were available in four price ranges for most of the venues, apart from the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and Murrayfield in Edinburgh, where five price categories were on sale.

Individual tickets are used for entry to a match of choice and are available in all five categories. A maximum of 24 tickets can be ordered at any one time for fairness and effective ticketing spread.

Ticket Limits

In addition, customers can only buy a maximum of four tickets per match for the following fixtures:

 • France - Argentina
 • England - South Africa
 • France - Ireland
 • Wales - Australia
 • Scotland - New Zealand
 • France - Georgia
 • New Zealand - Italy
 • England - Samoa
 • South Africa - Samoa
 • England - Repechage 2
 • Ireland - Argentina
 • France - Namibia
 • Quarter-finals 1, 2, 3 and 4

Customers may purchase six tickets per match for all other matches.

Rugby Ticket Sales

Rugby World Cup tickets initially went on sale in November 2005 as the start of a three-phase system. The first phase of France world cup tickets were offered to officials and players of the European rugby community. The second ticketing phase saw an unprecedented amount of tickets sold in a short space of time.

The last ticket phase started in November 2006 and up to June 2007, 2 million of the 2.4 million tickets on offer had been sold. As a result, there are very few Rugby World Cup tickets remaining.

Rugby World Cup 2007 Ticket Availability

Tickets were available from the official rugby world cup site. If you have no luck there in future tournaments, you may be able to secure a ticket elsewhere, although we don't advise taking this route.
